حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالدِّيَةِ عَلَى الْعَاقِلَةِ .

Ali ibn Muhammad reported to us: Waki reported to us: My father reported to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Ubayd ibn Nadlah, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu‘bah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) ruled that blood money was to be paid by the agnatic kin liable for it (al-aqilah).
