Muhammad ibn Thalabah ibn Sawa narrated to us: My paternal uncle, Muhammad ibn Sawa, narrated to us, from Husayn al-Muallim, from Matar al-Warraq, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever dies owing a dinar or a dirham, it will be settled from his good deeds, for there will be no dinar or dirham there.”
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic wording specifies either a dinar or a dirham and states that settlement is from good deeds because no currency is available there. The family relation “my paternal uncle” in the chain is retained.
