Ali ibn Muhammad narrated to us: Waki narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abdullah ibn Ata, from Abdullah ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “Messenger of Allah, I gave my mother one of my enslaved women, and she has died.” He said, “May Allah reward you and return the inheritance to you.”

  • The Arabic chain is fully included. The closing phrase says the inheritance returned to the woman; the English witness adds a parenthetical explanation absent from the Arabic.
