Unreviewed translation. All hadiths in this collection are available in five languages. Titles and introductions may remain in Arabic.

Hisham ibn Ammar and al-Hasan ibn Arafah both narrated to us: Ismail ibn Ayyash narrated to me: Shurahbil ibn Muslim al-Khawlani said: I heard Abu Umamah al-Bahili say that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “The guarantor is liable, and the debt must be repaid.”

Notes and open questions — unreviewed
  • The Arabic presents two short legal declarations: the guarantor bears liability, and the debt remains to be discharged. Both initial transmitters are included.
