Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ النَّزَّالِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ طَلاَقَ قَبْلَ النِّكَاحِ " .

Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Maʿmar informed us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, from al-Nazzal ibn Sabrah, from ʿAli ibn Abi Talib, from the Prophet, who said: ‘There is no divorce before marriage.’
