Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ الْمِصْرِيُّ أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ نَذْرَ فِي مَعْصِيَةٍ وَكَفَّارَتُهُ كَفَّارَةُ يَمِينٍ " .
Translation
Ahmad ibn ʿAmr ibn al-Sarh al-Misri, Abu Tahir, narrated to us; Ibn Wahb narrated to us; Yunus informed us, from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Salamah, from ʿAʾishah, that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: ‘There is no vow in an act of disobedience, and its expiation is the expiation for an oath.’
