Hishām ibn ʿAmmār narrated to us: Baqiyyah narrated to us, from Muʿāwiyah ibn Yaḥyā, from Layth ibn Abī Sulaym, from Yaḥyā ibn ʿAbbād, from Umm al-Dardāʾ, from Abū al-Dardāʾ, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “A campaign by sea is like ten campaigns by land. The one overcome by seasickness is like one drenched in his blood in the path of God, glorified is He.”
