Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr narrated to us: Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Shaqīq, from Abū Mūsā, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about a man who fights courageously, fights out of partisanship, or fights to be seen. The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever fights so that the word of God is supreme is in the path of God.”
