Keeping horses in the cause of Allah Sunan Ibn Majah 2786
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ شَبِيبِ بْنِ غَرْقَدَةَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْخَيْرُ مَعْقُودٌ بِنَوَاصِي الْخَيْلِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ "
Translation
It wasnarrated from ‘Urwah Al-Bariqi that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ)said
“Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the DayofResurrection.”
