حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الصَّلْتِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَنَفَّلَ سَيْفَهُ ذَا الْفِقَارِ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ .

Abū Kurayb narrated to us: Ibn al-Ṣalt narrated to us, from Ibn Abī al-Zinād, from his father, from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh, from Ibn ʿAbbās, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, took as a personal share his sword Dhū al-Fiqār on the day of Badr.
