حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مِجْلَزٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَايَةَ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَتْ سَوْدَاءَ وَلِوَاؤُهُ أَبْيَضُ .

ʿAbd Allāh ibn Isḥāq al-Wāsiṭī al-Nāqid narrated to us: Yaḥyā ibn Isḥāq narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn Ḥayyān. I heard Abū Mijlaz narrate from Ibn ʿAbbās that the banner of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, was black and his standard was white.
