حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعُمَيْسِ، وَعِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ بَارَزْتُ رَجُلاً فَقَتَلْتُهُ فَنَفَّلَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَلَبَهُ .

ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad narrated to us: Wakīʿ narrated to us: Abū al-ʿUmays and ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmār narrated to us, from Iyās ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ, from his father, who said: I fought a man in single combat and killed him, so the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, granted me his belongings as a share.
