Sunan Ibn Majah 2844
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَرَّقَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَقَطَعَ . وَهِيَ الْبُوَيْرَةُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {مَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ لِينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً } الآيَةَ .

Muḥammad ibn Rumḥ informed us: al-Layth ibn Saʿd informed us, from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, burned the date palms of Banū al-Naḍīr and cut them down. They were at al-Buwayrah, and God, Mighty and Majestic, revealed: “Whatever palm trees you cut down or left standing...” through the end of the verse.
