ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad and Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us, both saying: Wakīʿ narrated to us, from ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmār, from Iyās ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ, from his father, who said: We campaigned against Hawāzin with Abū Bakr during the time of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him. He granted me a captive woman from Banū Fazārah, among the most beautiful of the Arabs, wrapped in a covering. I did not uncover any of her clothing until I came to Medina. The Prophet met me in the marketplace and said: “May your father be blessed; give her to me.” I gave her to him, and he sent her to ransom some of the Muslim captives held in Mecca.
