Prohibition of traveling with the Qur’an to the land of the enemy Sunan Ibn Majah 2879

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، وَأَبُو عُمَرَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلمنَهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ .
Translation
It wasnarrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)forbadetraveling with the Qur’an to the land of the enemy, lest theenemygets hold of it.
