حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَضَى بِالْوَلَدِ لِلْفِرَاشِ .

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Sufyan ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from ʿUbaydullah ibn Abi Yazid, from his father, from ʿUmar, that the Messenger of Allah ruled that the child belongs to the marital bed.
