Ali ibn Muhammad narrated to us; Waki‘ narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, from al-Ma‘rur ibn Suwayd, from Abu Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Any owner of camels, sheep, or cattle who fails to pay the zakah due on them will find them brought on the Day of Resurrection at their largest and fattest. They will butt him with their horns and trample him with their hooves. Whenever the last of them has passed, the first will return to him, until judgment is passed among the people.’
