Ali ibn Muhammad and Amr ibn Abdullah al-Awdi narrated to us; they said: Waki‘ narrated to us, from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘It is better for one of you to take his ropes, go to the mountain, bring back a bundle of firewood on his back, sell it, and become self-sufficient through its price than to ask people, whether they give to him or withhold from him.’
