Sunan Ibn Majah 1795
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ حُجَيَّةَ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّ الْعَبَّاسَ، سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فِي تَعْجِيلِ صَدَقَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَحِلَّ فَرَخَّصَ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ .

Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us; Sa‘id ibn Mansur narrated to us; Ismail ibn Zakariyya narrated to us, from Hajjaj ibn Dinar, from al-Hakam, from Hujayyah ibn Adi, from Ali ibn Abi Talib, that al-Abbas asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about paying his charity before it became due, and he granted him permission to do so.
