Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah said: ‘You will surely follow the ways of those who came before you, handspan by handspan, forearm-length by forearm-length, and arm-length by arm-length, so that even if they entered a lizard’s burrow, you would enter it too.’ They asked, ‘Messenger of Allah, do you mean the Jews and Christians?’ He said, ‘Who else?’
