حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَاتِكَةِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الْمُحَارِبِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْمَلاَحِمُ بَعَثَ اللَّهُ بَعْثًا مِنَ الْمَوَالِي هُمْ أَكْرَمُ الْعَرَبِ فَرَسًا وَأَجْوَدُهُ سِلاَحًا يُؤَيِّدُ اللَّهُ بِهِمُ الدِّينَ " .

Hisham ibn ‘Ammar narrated to us; al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us; ‘Uthman ibn Abi al-‘Atikah narrated to us, from Sulayman ibn Habib al-Muharibi, from Abu Hurayrah, who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “When the great battles occur, Allah will send a force from among the freedmen. They will be the finest of the Arabs in horsemanship and the best equipped with weapons; through them Allah will strengthen the religion.”
