Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَوْمًا بِطَعَامٍ سُخْنٍ فَأَكَلَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ مَا دَخَلَ بَطْنِي طَعَامٌ سُخْنٌ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا " .
Translation
Suwayd ibn Sa‘id narrated to us; ‘Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: One day hot food was brought to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he ate. When he had finished, he said: “Praise be to Allah. No hot food has entered my stomach for such-and-such a time.”
