The beds of the family of Muhammad (saws) Sunan Ibn Majah 4154
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَأُهْدِيَتِ ابْنَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ إِلَىَّ فَمَا كَانَ فِرَاشُنَا لَيْلَةَ أُهْدِيَتْ إِلاَّ مَسْكَ كَبْشٍ .
Translation
It wasnarrated that ‘Ali said
“The daughter of the Messenger ofAllah(ﷺ) was permitted to me as a bride, and our bed on the nightwhenshe was presented to me, was no more than the hide of a ram.”
