Sunan Ibn Majah 4167
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ " لاَ يَمُوتَنَّ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ إِلاَّ وَهُوَ يُحْسِنُ الظَّنَّ بِاللَّهِ " .
Translation
Muhammad ibn Tarif narrated to us; Abu Mu‘awiyah narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “Let none of you die except while thinking well of Allah.”
