Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " الْحَيَاءُ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ وَالإِيمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالْبَذَاءُ مِنَ الْجَفَاءِ وَالْجَفَاءُ فِي النَّارِ " .
Translation
Isma‘il ibn Musa narrated to us; Hushaim narrated to us, from Mansur, from al-Hasan, from Abu Bakrah, who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Modesty is part of faith, faith is in Paradise, foul speech is part of coarseness, and coarseness is in the Fire.”
