حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏:‏ ‏"‏ لَيْسَ شَىْءٌ مِنَ الإِنْسَانِ إِلاَّ يَبْلَى إِلاَّ عَظْمًا وَاحِدًا وَهُوَ عَجْبُ الذَّنَبِ وَمِنْهُ يُرَكَّبُ الْخَلْقُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
Translation
It wasnarrated that Hani’ the freed slave of ‘Uthman bin ‘Affan,said

“When ‘Uthman bin ‘Affan stood beside a grave, he wouldweepuntil his beard became wet. It was said to him: ‘You rememberParadiseand Hell, and you do not weep, but you weep for this?’ Hesaid: ‘TheMessenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The grave is the firststage of theHereafter. Whoever is delivered from it, what comesafter it iseasier. If he is not delivered from it, then what comesafter it isharder.’” He said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)said: “I havenever seen any horrible scene but the grave is morehorrible.”
