Arabic hadith text
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّاسَ، كَانُوا إِذَا رَمَوُا الْجِمَارَ مَشَوْا ذَاهِبِينَ وَرَاجِعِينَ وَأَوَّلُ مَنْ رَكِبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ .
Translation
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Qasim fromhis father that when people went to stone the jamras they would walkboth going there and coming back. The first one to ride was Muawiyaibn Abi Sufyan.
