Book 20, Hadith 33
Arabic hadith text
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ، أَهَلَّ مِنْ عِنْدِ مَسْجِدِ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ حِينَ اسْتَوَتْ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ وَأَنَّ أَبَانَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ أَشَارَ عَلَيْهِ بِذَلِكَ .
Translation
Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan had started to do talbiya at the mosque ofDhu'l-Hulayfa, after the animal he was riding on had stood up, andthat Aban ibn Uthman had told him to do this.
