Muwatta Malik
Book 45, Hadith 10
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، مَوْلَى الْمُطَّلِبِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم طَلَعَ لَهُ أُحُدٌ فَقَالَ " هَذَا جَبَلٌ يُحِبُّنَا وَنُحِبُّهُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَرَّمَ مَكَّةَ وَأَنَا أُحَرِّمُ مَا بَيْنَ لاَبَتَيْهَا " .
Translation
Yahya related to me from Malik from Amr, the mawla of al-Muttalibfrom Anas ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless himand grant him peace, saw Uhud and said, "This is a mountain whichloves us and we love it. O Allah! Ibrahim made Makka Haram, and I willmake what is between the two tracts of black stones (in Madina) aHaram."
