وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْعُرْبَانِ. رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ وَأَبُو دَاوُد وَابْن مَاجَه
Translation

‘Amr ibn Shu‘ayb reported from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) forbade ‘urbun sales (where a buyer pays a deposit that the seller may keep if the buyer does not complete the purchase). Malik, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah transmitted it. Its listed grading is da‘if (al-Albani).
