وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ كِلَابٍ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ عَسْبِ الْفَحْلِ فَنَهَاهُ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا نُطْرِقُ الْفَحْلَ فَنُكْرَمُ فَرَخَّصَ لَهُ فِي الْكَرَامَةِ. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

Anas reported: A man from Kilab asked the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) about payment for a stallion’s stud service. He forbade it. The man said: ‘Messenger of Allah, we lend out the stallion and are honored in return.’ So he permitted accepting that honor. Al-Tirmidhi transmitted it. Its listed grading has not been studied (al-Albani).
