Jabir reported that he was riding a camel of his that had become exhausted. The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) passed by him and struck it, and it went faster than it ever had before. He then said: ‘Sell it to me for an uqiyyah.’ Jabir said: I sold it to him but reserved the right to ride it home to my family. When I reached Madinah, I brought him the camel and he paid me its price. Another version says: ‘He gave me its price and returned the camel to me.’ It is agreed upon. In a version by al-Bukhari, he told Bilal: ‘Pay him and give him extra.’ Bilal gave him the price and added a qirat. Its listed grading is agreed upon (al-Albani).
