عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنِ احْتَكَرَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ طَعَامَهُمْ ضَرَبَهُ اللَّهُ بِالْجُذَامِ وَالْإِفْلَاسِ» . رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ. وَرَزِينٌ فِي كِتَابِهِ

‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) say: ‘Whoever hoards food from the Muslims, Allah will afflict him with leprosy and bankruptcy.’ Ibn Majah and al-Bayhaqi transmitted it in Shu‘ab al-Iman. Razin also included it in his book. Its listed grading has not been studied (al-Albani).
