Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ طَاوُسٍ مُرْسَلًا: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «من أحيى مَوَاتًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ فَهُوَ لَهُ وَعَادِيُّ الْأَرْضِ لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ هِيَ لَكُمْ مِنِّي» . رَوَاهُ الشَّافِعِي
Translation

Tawus reported it as a mursal narration: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever brings dead land to life, it belongs to him. The old established land belongs to Allah and His Messenger; then it is yours from me.” Al-Shafii narrated it.
