Mishkat al-Masabih 1762
Arabic hadith text
عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَزُورُوهَا وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِي فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ فَأَمْسِكُوا مَا بَدَا لَكُمْ وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنِ النَّبِيذِ إِلَّا فِي سِقَاءٍ فَاشْرَبُوا فِي الْأَسْقِيَةِ كُلِّهَا وَلَا تشْربُوا مُسكرا» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Translation
Burayda said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘I had forbidden you to visit graves, but now visit them. I had forbidden you to keep the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days, but now keep as much as you wish. I had forbidden you to prepare nabidh except in a waterskin; now drink it from all kinds of vessels, but do not drink anything intoxicating.’ Muslim transmitted it.
