‘Amr ibn al-Ahwas reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say during the Farewell Hajj: “Which day is this?” They said: “The Day of the Greater Sacrifice.” He said: “Your blood, property, and honor are sacred to one another, like the sacredness of this day of yours in this land of yours. No one commits a crime except against himself; no parent is answerable for the crime of his child, and no child for the crime of his parent. Satan has despaired of ever being worshipped in your land again, but he will be obeyed in deeds you consider insignificant, and that will satisfy him.” [Ibn Majah and al-Tirmidhi; al-Tirmidhi graded it sahih]
