Mishkat al-Masabih 2683
وَعَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ ابْنِ أُخْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَزَوَّجَهَا وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ قَالَ الشيخُ الإِمَام يحيى السّنة C: وَالْأَكْثَرُونَ عَلَى أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَهَا حَلَالًا وَظَهَرَ أَمْرُ تَزْوِيجِهَا وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ ثُمَّ بَنَى بِهَا وَهُوَ حَلَال بسرف فِي طَرِيق مَكَّة

Yazid ibn al-Asamm, the nephew of Maymunah, reported from Maymunah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married her while he was not in ihram. [Muslim] The imam Yahya al-Sunnah said: Most scholars hold that he married her while not in ihram. The report that he married her while in ihram became known, but he consummated the marriage when he was not in ihram, at Sarif on the road to Makkah.
