Al-Zubayr reported that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said: ‘The game and thorny plants of Wajj are sacred, made inviolable for Allah.’ Abu Dawud transmitted it. Muhyi al-Sunnah said: ‘Wajj’ is said to be in the direction of al-Ta’if. Al-Khattabi said that the pronoun should be masculine—‘innahu’ (‘indeed, it’)—instead of feminine—‘innaha’ (‘indeed, it’).
