Translation

Unreviewed translation. All hadiths in this collection are available in five languages. Titles and introductions may remain in Arabic.

Ibn ‘Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said: ‘Whoever is able to die in al-Madinah, let him die there, for I will intercede for whoever dies there.’ Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi transmitted it. Al-Tirmidhi said: ‘This is a hasan sahih gharib hadith in its chain of transmission.’ The listed grading is sahih (al-Albani).

  • أَنْ يَمُوت بالمدية فليمت لَهَا

The source reads بالمدية (by/with the knife), but the repeated feminine pronoun and following phrase about dying there strongly suggest المدينة (Madinah).

Is المدية a source typo for المدينة? The translation follows the apparent intended reading.
