وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَرْحٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ قَتَادَةَ بْنَ دِعَامَةَ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى أَنْ يُخْلَطَ التَّمْرُ وَالزَّهْوُ ثُمَّ يُشْرَبَ وَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ كَانَ عَامَّةَ خُمُورِهِمْ يَوْمَ حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ .

Abu al-Tahir, Ahmad ibn Amr ibn Sarh, reported to me: Abdullah ibn Wahb informed us: Amr ibn al-Harith told me that Qatadah ibn Diamah told him that he heard Anas ibn Malik say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited mixing dates with ripe dates and then drinking it. That was the most common kind of wine among them on the day wine was forbidden.
