Drinking zamzam water while standing
Arabic hadith text
وَحَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، سَمِعَ الشَّعْبِيَّ،
سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ سَقَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ زَمْزَمَفَشَرِبَ قَائِمًا
وَاسْتَسْقَى وَهُوَ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ .
Translation
Ibn 'Abbas reported
I served (water from) Zamzam to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), and he drank while standing, and he asked for it while he was near the House (i. e. House of Allah-Ka'ba).
