Hajjaj ibn al-Shair narrated to us: Dahhak ibn Makhlad narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Alqamah ibn Marthad, from Ibn Buraydah, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, I had forbidden you from using certain vessels. Vessels do not make anything lawful or unlawful, and every intoxicant is forbidden. The wording is vessels—or a vessel.
