وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كُنْتُ أَسْقِي أَبَا طَلْحَةَ وَأَبَا دُجَانَةَ وَمُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ فِي رَهْطٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا دَاخِلٌ فَقَالَ حَدَثَ خَبَرٌ نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُ الْخَمْرِ . فَكَفَأْنَاهَا يَوْمَئِذٍ وَإِنَّهَا لَخَلِيطُ الْبُسْرِ وَالتَّمْرِ . قَالَ قَتَادَةُ وَقَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ لَقَدْ حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ وَكَانَتْ عَامَّةُ خُمُورِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَلِيطَ الْبُسْرِ وَالتَّمْرِ .

Yahya ibn Ayyub narrated to us: Ibn Ulayyah narrated to us: Said ibn Abi Arubah informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: I was serving Abu Talhah, Abu Dujanah, and Muadh ibn Jabal among a group of Ansar when someone came in and said, News has arrived: wine has been forbidden. That day we poured it out. It was a mixture of unripe dates and dates. Qatadah said: Anas ibn Malik also said that wine had been forbidden, and most of their wine at the time was a mixture of unripe dates and dates.
