Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shayba narrated to us: Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us: Wuhaib narrated to us: Abdullah ibn Tawus narrated to us, from his father, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) set Dhul-Hulayfa for the people of Medina, al-Juhfa for the people of Syria, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. He also said: ‘These are their points and for everyone who comes to them from elsewhere intending Hajj or Umrah. Whoever is nearer than that starts from wherever he sets out, until the people of Mecca, whose point is Mecca itself.’
