Sunan an-Nasa'i 5307
Stern Warning Against Wearing Silk, and That Whoever Wears it in This World Will Not Wear it in the Hereafter
Arabic hadith text
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا النَّضْرُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَبِشْرِ بْنِ الْمُحْتَفِزِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرَ مَنْ لاَ خَلاَقَ لَهُ "
Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar,
That the Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Silk is only worn by one who has no share."
