Umm Atiyyah said: When I wished to pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, I told him: A woman helped me with funeral wailing in the pre-Islamic period. May I go and help her, then come back and pledge to you? He said: Go and help her. I went and helped her, then returned and pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah.
