Qutaybah ibn Sa'id reported to us: Al-Layth narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) held a race between horses, sending them out from Al-Hafya', with their finish line at Thaniyyat al-Wada'. He also held a race for horses that had not been made lean, with the course running from Ath-Thaniyyah to the mosque of Banu Zurayq.
