Hadith 36, 40 Hadith an-Nawawi

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: ‘Whoever relieves a believer of a hardship of this world, Allah will relieve him of a hardship from the hardships of the Day of Resurrection. Whoever makes things easier for someone in difficulty, Allah will make things easier for him in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever covers a Muslim, Allah will cover him in this world and the Hereafter. Allah is in the servant’s aid so long as the servant is in his brother’s aid. Whoever follows a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make easy for him by it a path to Paradise. No people gather in a house among the houses of Allah, reciting Allah’s Book and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy envelops them, the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them among those who are with Him. Whoever is held back by his deeds, his lineage will not hasten him forward.’ [Narrated by Muslim] in these words.

وَمَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِما سَتَرَهُ اللهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ،
The Arabic uses ستر, ‘cover/conceal’; the witness supplies the parenthetical ‘hides the misdeeds of,’ narrowing the object not stated in Arabic.
Is the bracketed phrase a sourced explanation? It is not included in the translation.
وَمَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ،
The expression بيوت الله is rendered literally as ‘houses of Allah’; the supplied context does not specify an explanatory gloss.
Is there an approved rendering for this expression in the project glossary?
