Qutaybah—namely, Ibn Sa'id—narrated to us. He said: 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated to us, from 'Asim ibn Kulayb. He said: My father told me that he heard Abu Hurayrah say: Allah's Messenger (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, 'Whoever sees me in a dream has indeed seen me, for Satan cannot assume my likeness.' My father said: I related this to Ibn 'Abbas and said, 'I have seen him.' I mentioned al-Hasan ibn 'Ali and said, 'I thought he resembled him.' Ibn 'Abbas replied, 'He did resemble him.'
