باب ماجاء في نعل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم

Qatada said; “I asked Anas ibn Malik

‘How were the sandals of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace)?’ He said: ‘They had two thongs'.”

Ibn 'Abbas said

"The sandals of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) had two thongs with double laces.”

'Isa ibn Tahman said

"Anas ibn Malik brought out to us a pair of hairless sandals with two thongs. Then Thabit told me afterwards, on the authority of Anas, that they were the sandals of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace).”

'Ubaid ibn Juraij said to Ibn 'Umar

"I saw you wearing the tanned ox-hide sandals with no hair on them [an-ni'al as-sibtiyya]." He replied:"I saw Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) wearing the sandals on which there is no hair, and he performed the minor ritual ablution in them, so I love to wear them!”

Abu Huraira said

"The sandals of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) had two thongs."

Amr ibn Huraith said

"I saw Allah's Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) performing the ritual prayer in sewn sandals.”

Abu Hurairah reports that Allah’s Messenger said (Allah bless him and give him peace)

“Let none of you walk in a single sandal. Let him wear them both or take them both off!”

Jabir reported

“The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) forbade one (referring to the man) to eat with his left hand, or to walk in a single sandal.”

Abu Huraira said

“The Prophet said (Allah bless him and give him peace): "When one of you puts on sandals, let him begin with the right, and when he takes them off, let him begin with the left, for the right must be the first of them to be put on, and the last of them to be taken off.”

'A’isha said

"Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) would love to start whatever he could on the right side, in his combing, his footwear and his purification.”

Abu Huraira said

“The sandals of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) had two thongs, as did those of Abu Bakr and 'Umar (may Allah the Exalted be well pleased with them), and the first to tie a single knot was 'Uthman (may Allah be well pleased with him).”
